Greenhouse

History

West Coast Floral greenhouses have been in existence since 1989, where they enjoyed a thriving business growing potted plant crops such as: Easter lilies, hydrangeas, poinsettias, bedding plants and even some cut flowers crops such as tulips. Over the course of time they have fine tuned their areas of growing expertise and now focus primarily on outdoor spring crops, as well as a number smaller programs of tropical and flowering plants. We also still grow and enjoy a yearly crop of beautiful poinsettias. Though the original structure is 25 years old, the greenhouse facility had undergone many changes and continues to be updated on a regular basis. Our most recent upgrade is the installation of a state of the art Argus system which is the brains behind all control systems of the greenhouse.

In 2005 we were also chosen as a rooting station for Ball Seed, and are currently producing geranium plugs for many other greenhouses around Western Canada and the Northwest US.

In 1996 we decided to open up a small retail area to those living in the area and provide a “grower direct” opportunity to enjoy our locally grown spring items. This endeavor has enjoyed great success and has grown each year. Many people visit us annually and enjoy browsing through our retail center.
